Action Center

 The Connecticut Unemployment Action Center is a student-run organization devoted to the no-fee (free) representation of unemployment insurance claimants in the greater Hartford area. The primary intention of the CT U.A.C. is to match people seeking to secure unemployment insurance benefits with law students eager to gain practical experience through public experience. Because the CT U.A.C. is directly responsible for advising claimants, it provides law students exposure to pro bono work and cultivates an interest in public service early in their legal careers. 

 

 CTUAC has been recognized  as a leader in public service. On April 23, 2002, CTUAC  was awarded the Connecticut Higher Education Public Service Award.
